URL-encoding from %00 to %8f ASCII ValueURL-encode space %20 ! %21 %22 # %2344 more rows
Our recommendation is to avoid using spaces in URLs, and instead use hyphens to separate words. If you are unable to do this, make sure to encode whitespace using + or %20 in the query-string, and using %20 within the rest of the URL.
For example, spaces in a string are either encoded with %20 or replaced with the plus sign ( + ). If you use a pipe character ( | ) as a separator, be sure to encode the pipe as %7C .
URLs cannot contain spaces. URL encoding normally replaces a space with a plus (+) sign or with %20.
%20 is indeed the HTML URL encoding for a space, all browsers will use this in the address bar.
URL encoding is a process of converting reserved characters into their corresponding hexadecimal code so that they can be safely transmitted over the internet. In your case, you can encode the colon character as %3A and append it at the end of your URL.
Any character that is not an alphabetic character, a number, or a reserved character being used needs to be encoded. URLs use the ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) character-set and so encoding must be to a valid ASCII format.
Colon (:) is being sent as ascii (%3A) in HTTP Request.
%27 is the correct, up-to-date way to include in a URI-encoded string (the query string in a URL is URI-encoded).
A colon (:) is a punctuation mark that separates two distinct parts of a sentence. It also serves as an indicator for how lists and other information should be interpreted, such as in URLs or computer commands.
