using a router inlay kit is a very simple way to do accurate wood inlays say you pick up a letter at a store that sells letters this letter L in for instance you run around that letter with the small bushing on your inlay kit to create a template Iamp;#39;ve represented that with the yellow piece then you put that template on the piece of wood you want to create the inlay and you create an exact duplicate of that letter then you put the larger bushing on your kit and run around that same template to do the cut out and then you place your inlay into that cut out you get a perfect fit
