hello this is Joey with PC setup and training and today Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to create some basic labels with open Office writer program uh open Office is a freeware uh word processor spreadsheet type program that you can get from openoffice.org uh to start with weamp;#39;re going to open the open Office writer program which I have an icon on my desktop here I want to double click on that to get that open now we see the uh word processing page up now and uh we can certainly write a document from here but we want to create some labels and Iamp;#39;m going to do that by moving the mouse up in the top left corner and clicking on file then Mouse down to new mouse over to the next column and down to labels and click in this uh screen we can basically fill in the information for our label if we want to do say a return address label we can actually fill in in this box for label text your return address uh which I have an example here and when we create a label by put typing it

Adding Text Boxes Just look for an icon of a capital T and click on it, then draw a box on the slide. You dont need to worry about the size of the box, it will expand to fit the text you place in it. The other way is to add the Text toolbar by going to ViewToolbars, and place a check mark in the Text box.
Add a text box Place cursor where you want the text box to appear. Go to Insert and in Illustrations select Drawing. Select Text Box and use your cursor to create the text box.
If the slide layout already includes textboxes, simply click on the textbox to add text. To add a text box to the slide, choose textbox option from the main toolbar and draw the text box with the mouse. Select the text that will be formatted by highlighting the text on the slide.
Click on the Text icon. on the Text toolbar (Figure 124). If the Text toolbar with the text icon is not visible, choose View Toolbars Text. Click and drag to draw a text box on the slide.
Click anywhere in the text. On the Format menu, point to AutoFit Text, and do one of the following: To reduce the point size of text until there is no text in overflow, click Shrink Text On Overflow. To shrink or expand text to fit in the text box when you resize the box, click Best Fit.
Add text to a drawing page Select Insert Text Box. Select either Draw Horizontal Text Box or Vertical Text Box.
