so we talked about in the last video the form element tag which is right here and this again just acts as a container to put in whatever input fields we want and the input field we made in the last video of course was this one line text box which is formed by the input element tag and also declaring the type as text and that gives us again this one line text box but now we want to actually add some labels to these text boxes because people need to know what information theyamp;#39;re entering and so letamp;#39;s say we needed a first name and a last name so thatamp;#39;s what weamp;#39;re going to do weamp;#39;re going to create our first label for this first text box and weamp;#39;re going to ask for the first name so Iamp;#39;m just going to go ahead and copy and paste what I already typed out and Iamp;#39;ll explain it so hereamp;#39;s the label element thatamp;#39;s how we declare a label and notice we have to close this one out so we close that out with a closing label t

The tag defines a multi-line text input control. The element is often used in a form, to collect user inputs like comments or reviews. A text area can hold an unlimited number of characters, and the text renders in a fixed-width font (usually Courier).
To permit pre-fill text to be automatically spaced and word-wrapped inside a textarea, the text should be coded immediately following the opening tag and followed immediately by the closing tag. No hard spaces or line breaks should be coded.
This is done by adding the selected attribute to the desired tag. Its useful for enhancing user experience by pre-filling forms with common or expected values. The tag creates dropdown lists; tags define selectable values.
You can populate a text field with an initial, frequently used value to display it on the HTML page and save your clients some input time. Open the HTML page that contains the text box you want to edit. Scroll to the text field and type a value parameter inside the text field tag:
Approach 1: Using HTML autofocus attribute. Autofocus is a boolean attribute, used along with an element in a form. The form field is focused on automatically when the page loads. Example 1: In this example, we will see the use of HTML autofocus attribute.
Methods Line 1: We use the URL of our form and denote the start of the query string with a ? . Line 2: We set the field with a custom pre-fill key of name to the value Danny . Line 3: We set the field with a custom pre-fill key of email to the value danny@paperform.co .
The placeholder attribute places text inside an input box, usually in a light gray color, as a placeholder, indicating what type of content is expected from the user. The text remains while the input has no value, even when the form control receives focus.
