A financial affidavit is a written statement that shows your income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. A financial affidavit is a complete picture of your financial situation at the time that you (the affiant), signs the document.
Organize your affidavit so it flows logically - Most people will have facts in chronological order (ing to date they occurred) or by subject matter. Eg. First few paragraphs are about the kids and the next few are about your assets and then you finish with a few paragraphs about your debt.
The commissioner and the deponent must review each page of the affidavit and exhibits to verify that the pages are identical and if so, must initial each page in the lower right corner.
The document must be clearly identified in the paragraph of the Affidavit. It should clearly state what the document is, the relevance, and that it is marked and attached as an exhibit. Examples: The Defendant agreed to replace the Plaintiffs roof for $XX, see the contract which is marked and attached as Exhibit A.
What to include in your affidavit. Title. This is either your name (Affidavit of Jane Doe) or the specific case information. Statement of identity. The next paragraph tells the court about yourself. Statement of truth. Statement of facts. Closing statement of truth. Sign and docHub.
