In the Windows-1252 character set, ASCII code 183 is represented by the character also known as the middle dot - georgian comma.
Alternatively, use the Insert, Symbols menu: A shortcut to open the menu is to press Alt+I then press S on its own (i.e. without Alt). From the option menu on the right, select Geometric shapes, choose your diamond, then Insert and Close.
On the Font tab, change the Font box to Symbol, and then click OK. Make sure the NUM LOCK key is turned on on your keyboard. Hold down ALT, and then using numeric keypad, type 0183. This is the character code for the bullet.
Click or tap where you want to insert the special character. Go to Insert Symbol More Symbols. Go to Special Characters. Double-click the character that you want to insert.
The character is the bullet symbol, which you can reproduce by changing the font to Symbol and by finding it in the symbol list or pressing ALT + 0183 (maybe 183 without the zero for others).
Go to Insert Symbol More Symbols. In the Subset dropdown, choose Number Forms. Note: Not all fonts have a number forms subset.
Click the Insert tab, and then click the Symbol button. In this Symbol popup window, we can freely choose and add the symbols we want to insert.
Youll find it under the Insert menu, which is on the ribbon at the top of the screen. Click on Symbol and choose More Symbols. Change the font to Wingdings in the Font select box. Scroll to the bottom, and youll find two different styles of ticks and crosses.
