To embed a folder in an Excel sheet, insert the folder as an object.
An embed file in Excel is a document you can insert into a single cell on a spreadsheet. Embedding allows you to merge the content from a Word document or PDF file with the data you compiled within the Excel program.
Create a link to a web page On a worksheet, select the cell where you want to create a link. On the Insert tab, select Hyperlink. Under Display Text:, type the text that you want to use to represent the link. Under URL:, type the complete Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the webpage you want to link to. Select OK.
To embed a PDF as an object into your Excel spreadsheet, follow the steps below: Open your Excel spreadsheet. Click on the Insert menu. Click the Object option from the Text section. In the Object window, click on the Create New tab. Select docHub Document from the list of object types. Click on Ok.
Embed an object in a worksheet Click inside the cell of the spreadsheet where you want to insert the object. In the Object dialog box, click the Create from File tab. Click Browse, and select the file you want to insert.
How to attach a file in Excel Select the cell. Click the Insert tab. Select Object in the Text menu. Select Create from File. Browse for your file. Click OK to place the file.
Follow these steps to lock cells in a worksheet: Select the cells you want to lock. On the Home tab, in the Alignment group, click the small arrow to open the Format Cells popup window. On the Protection tab, select the Locked check box, and then click OK to close the popup.
Tip: Select the same number of cells as you want to insert. For example, to insert five blank cells, select five cells. Hold down CONTROL, click the selected cells, then on the pop-up menu, click Insert. On the Insert menu, select whether to shift the selected cells down or to the right of the newly inserted cells.
