welcome back to another throwback Thursday where we teach you a classic DJ technique that was invented years ago but still very useful today in todays video Im going to show you how you can actually mark your records with cue points and star points just like in digital DJ traditionally you would start a vinyl record at the very beginning you just start the first beat and once its ready you start to fade it in but with digital DJ and weve learned that sometimes the best place to start a song is not at the beginning but maybe even at the middle so how do you do that with records well you do it using stickers today Im going to teach you two basic techniques using a simple white printer sticker but Im going to chop up into a pair of lines to help you mark and playback your vinyl this of course is for all you guys out there that have just started playing vinyl or are playing vinyl for years but really need to miss some of those digital DJ techniques the first thing Im going to do is
