Go to Settings | Editor | Inlay Hints (Product Help) and check out inlays that have already been implemented. To support multiple languages with a single type of inlay hints, see declarative InlayHintsProviderFactory (2023.1+) or InlayHintsProviderFactory (pre-2023.1).
You can toggle and configure inlay hints on the corresponding settings pages under the Environment | Inlay Hints page of ReSharper options Alt+R, O . If you do not use inlay hints, you can disable them by clearing the Enable Inlay Hints checkbox on the Environment | Inlay Hints | General settings page.
Enable or disable inlay hints Open the Settings dialog ( Ctrl Alt 0S ) , go to Editor | Inlay Hints, expand the groups of inlay hints, and clear the checkboxes next to the hints that you want to hide or show.

Inlay hints are special markers that appear in the editor and provide you with additional information about your code, like the names of the parameters that a called method expects. Other types of hints inform you about annotations, method parameters, usages, and so on (depending on the language).
In the Settings dialog ( Ctrl Alt 0S ) , go to Editor | Inlay Hints | Java. From the available options, select Code Vision and enable the Show hints for: and the Usages checkboxes. Click OK to save the changes. When you return to your code in the editor, IntelliJ IDEA will show you the usages of Java symbols.
