How to clean your IOD stamps. If you cant clean your stamps right after using your stamps, just throw it in soapy water until you can clean them. In this video I had ink that had been on the stamp for months (not recommended) but you can see it cleaned up pretty good.

Rubber stamps are handy tools to use with polymer clay. Theyre easy to find in a wide variety of styles and designs. And there are all sorts of ways to use them with clay, whether youre wanting texture, surface decoration, or some other effect.
Speaking of creating something beautiful, have you heard of IOD stamps? This is such an easy way to add beautiful images to any project. Depending on the look youre going for, you have the option of using paint or ink when stamping.
Stamping with paint is so much easier when you use a Gel Press plate. Why? Because the gel plate acts at the ink pad and enables you to get the fine details in the stamp using paint.
That is why it is always best to err on the side of caution, especially on your first try. Do not make the mistake of using acrylic paint, as it can get stiff and look wrinkled. Fabric paint can be used, but applying the paint to the stamp can be precarious, which is why we suggest permanent fabric ink.
Unmounted to Cling Stamps I recently unmounted 200+ stamps and found the easiest way to do it was to put the stamp in microwave for 8-10 seconds and then remove the backing. Sometimes there is still glue attached to the rubber. If so, you can just stick it to a couple of different products.
