i had a few logs in the yard that would make the perfect wood slices for christmas decor so i cut them down with my miter saw when bugs started crawling out of my newly cut slices i knew i needed to take the time to dry them too i started by cutting the logs with my miter saw note this is not the safest method ever your logs are unlikely to be perfectly straight and therefore will be difficult to brace against the fence a bandsaw would probably be a better option for cutting if youamp;#39;ve got one you should also avoid cutting pieces that have large knots at the edge they make the logs even more difficult to safely brace against the fence once the slices were cut i put them in a pan and covered them with denatured alcohol i added rocks to make sure the slices sunk to the bottom and didnamp;#39;t just float on top although honestly floating on top probably would have been just fine the slices donamp;#39;t actually need to be entirely submerged in fact i didnamp;#39;t empty the alc

IOD Paint Inlays are made from proprietary artist-quality paints that we formulated specifically for decorative use. Organic in nature, the Paint Inlays transfer the painted design yielding a slightly varied and uniquely beautiful aesthetic each time theyre used.
Inlay is commonly used in the production of decorative furniture, where pieces of colored wood, precious metals or even diamonds are inserted into the surface of the carcass using various matrices including clear coats and varnishes.
IOD Transfers are pressure sensitive images that rub on to various surfaces including but not limited to furniture, small decor and crafts.
TOP TIPS FOR STAMPING Hover the stamp over your project surface to line up where you want to stamp before stamping. Once youre ready to stamp, COMMIT and dont shift. Use one hand to hold the stamp, then use your other. Lift the stamp straight up off the project surface. Wipe your stamp clean with wipes immediately after.
How do IOD Dcor Paint Inlays differ from a Transfer? Unlike a transfer that transfers from its carrier sheet to the surface of your project, when you apply an IOD Paint Inlays to a properly prepared surface, actual artisanal paint from the inlay carrier sheet is embedded into your (wet) painted surface.
The difference between wet and dry Simply put, wet inlays come with pressure-sensitive adhesive, and dry inlays dont. In the manufacture of dry inlays, the chip and antenna are placed on a carrier, or substrate, which is usually made of film or paper material.
