hi im dennis and in this video ill show you how i made this geisha figure on a 3d scroll out of four different types of natural unstained woods and carbon steel epoxy resin i originally planned to use the traditional cnc inlay technique but i ran into several technical issues which i solved with a new optimized prism technique for very precise inlays the inlay technique has been around for quite a while it is based on carving a pocket shape also called female into a board and then a mirrored protruding shape also called male that is usually carved out of wood with a contrasting color this mail piece is glued into the pocket and the excess wood is removed to reveal the shape a bit like those wooden puzzles for little kids but you can immediately see the problem at the corners when using a straight end mill you can cheat a bit with simple forms by rounding the corners but that wont work for sharp angles or lines that are thinner than the diameter of the bit as the bit just cant get t

Wood inlays are eye-catching additions to artisan handcrafted furniture. These colored materials are shaped and embedded flush into the wood. Primarily used for decorative purposes, inlays embody fine craftsmanship. However, they can also be used to support and stabilize any natural cracking in the wood.
Round tables provide a sense of togetherness and leave colleagues feeling like they belong to the group. Unlike rectangular tables, round tables give guests a sense of equality and creativity and are great way to boost problem-solving among the group.
Like square tables, round tables create a comfortable sense of togetherness. Because of the round shape, conversation is a bit easier, and seating feels less vast than it can with a square. But of course, the larger the table, the more spacious and distant it can feel across the table.
Inlay is commonly used in the production of decorative furniture, where pieces of colored wood, precious metals or even diamonds are inserted into the surface of the carcass using various matrices including clear coats and varnishes.
Space Efficiency: If you have limited space, consider the efficiency of the table shape. Round and square tables are generally space-efficient and work well in smaller rooms, while rectangular tables are more space-efficient in longer, narrower spaces.
inlay, in the visual arts, any decorative technique used to create an ornamental design, pattern, or scene by inserting or setting into a shallow or depressed ground or surface a material of a different colour or type. Inlay techniques are used in enamelwork, furniture decoration, lacquerwork, and metalwork.
Square and Rectangle Shaped Conference Tables Square and rectangle conference tables have the most perimeter for a given length and width which will maximize the number of people you can fit in your room.
Some of the most popular shapes include: Rectangle: Rectangular tables are a classic choice that offers the most seating for the size. Boat: Boat-shaped conference tables have an interesting and elegant look. Square: Square conference tables tend to offer a fair amount of seating for the size.
