hello everyone this video is about formatting block quotations as a reminder a block quote is any quote that is four lines long or longer in the case of my example here I have a pretty sizable quote instead of being formatted like a 1 to 3 line quotation we want to actually offset from the rest of the paragraph so the first thing I want to do is omit I come to the very beginning Iamp;#39;m going to hit enter and then when I come to the very edge of the quote and Iamp;#39;m going to hit enter again now itamp;#39;s still not quite right because now itamp;#39;s three paragraphs instead of one paragraph with a block quotation so the first thing Iamp;#39;m going to do is Iamp;#39;m going to take this quote and Iamp;#39;m going to make sure itamp;#39;s flush against the margin and Iamp;#39;m going to highlight the whole quote so that I can hit tab so that the whole thing is flush against the 1/2 inch margin now because this signals to the reader that this is a block quote when itam

Use quotation marks around the authors words. Include signal phrases and an in-text citation to show where the quote is from. When you paraphrase or summarize a source, you restate the sources ideas in your own words and sentence structure. Select what is relevant to your topic, and restate only that.
A TXT record (short for text record) is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) used to provide the ability to associate arbitrary text with a host or other name, such as human readable information about a server, network, data center, or other accounting information.
Quotation marks serve primarily to tell the reader the exact words someone used (Hope, 2010, p. 21). If you paraphrase a source, this means you have put the information in your own words, and you dont need to use quotation marks. You should still cite with an in-text citation, but you shouldnt use quotation marks.
TXT records have no specific formatting requirements, but theyre not meant for large amounts of data. Values longer than 255 characters will need to be split into multiple parts, with each section that contains more than 255 characters enclosed in double quotes.
The content of a DNS TXT type record is often displayed with double quotes, but those quotes are not (or should not be) part of the actual DNS record content. The quotes are there for display purposes only.
Put your cursor at the begining of line 1. click EditColumnEditor. Put in the text and hit enter. Repeat 2 but put the cursor at the end of line1 and put , and hit enter.
In-text citations are inserted in the body of your research paper to briefly document the source of your information. In-text citations in MLA style follow the general format of authors last name followed by a page number enclosed in parentheses. Here is an example: Heres a direct quote (Smith 8).
Introduce your quote, then on a new line, indent the entire quotation inch from the left margin. The in-text citation follows the ending punctuation of the quotation. Remember to maintain double spacing in the essay.
Your in-text citation should be after your final quotation mark when you are quoting from a source, but before the period that ends the sentence. For example: Harvey wrote in his book, Writing at a college level requires informed research (1).
You do not need the quotes for a TXT record.
