in this tutorial weamp;#39;re going to look at the V inlay technique this is an alternative to making conventional uh pockets and inlays uh that uses a vbit tool rather than the usual uh n Mill or slot drill to to cut these shapes out now the reason this is docHub is that um by using a vbit tool to create um the inlays weamp;#39;re not limited by the normal radius problem that you get from a rotating tool so even in this artwork weamp;#39;ve got here which comes to Sharp points uh uh and quite quick sharp Corners here you um are able to get keep this detailed so if we was trying to just pocket this shape out firstly weamp;#39;d have to find an endmill which would fit all the way along the length of this pocket which would mean it would have to be extremely fine and secondly even if we could do that uh we would find that weamp;#39;d have radi on each of these Corners as the endmill canamp;#39;t get into the the corner to properly clear the material however with the V inlay Te

tiff files are simple graphics files that have no projection (coordinate system) or georegistration information. They import as ordinary images. TIF or TIFF format files can occur in a specialized form called GeoTIFF files that save projection information along with the image.
TIFF R files contain three image channels (RGB). PCI support for TIFF files includes the following bit depths: 8U, 16S, 16U, 32S, 32U, 32R, 64S, 64U, 64R, C16S, C32S, C32R. Additionally, PCI can read and create 1 bit rasters in a TIFF as bitmaps.
TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) files are common in publishing, photo editing, and graphic design.
Another difference is that TIFF files support layers, whereas JPEG files do not. This means that you can edit a TIFF file and change the order of the layers, whereas with a JPEG file you can only edit the image as a whole. Finally, TIFF files use the RGB color model, whereas JPEG files use the CMYK colour model.
TIFF 16 bit is 16 bits per channel. JPEG is 8 bits per channel. So: 16 x 3 = 48 bit.
An example would be the use of TIFF to store images acquired using scientific CCD cameras that provide up to 16 bits per photosite of intensity resolution. Storing a sequence of images in a single TIFF file is also possible, and is allowed under TIFF 6.0, provided the rules for multi-page images are followed.
1 Answer. When you have an 8-bit image, the pixel values range from 0 to 255. For a 16-bit image, the pixel range is from 0 to 65535.
Unlike JPEG, TIFF files can have a bit depth of either 16-bits per channel or 8-bits per channel, and multiple layered images can be stored in a single TIFF file. TIFF files are an excellent option for archiving intermediate files which you may edit later, since it introduces no compression artifacts.
