what is going on guys welcome back in this video today weamp;#39;re going to learn how and why to use base64 encoding in Python so letamp;#39;s get right into it all right so weamp;#39;re going to talk about base64 in this video today and weamp;#39;re going to also learn how to use Python to encode and decode data using base64 but before we go into the code I would like to talk a little bit about base64 in general how it works behind the scenes and for this we can open up the Wikipedia page and uh the way it works is quite simple so what we have is we have sequences of bytes now remember one byte is eight bits so if we have one byte that is the same as having eight bits and one bit is either zero or one so if you have eight bits something like this that would be eight bits that would be one byte now I can also have three times eight bits so if I have something like this this should be eight right this this so those are now three times eight bits so three times eight bits or
