in order to add a pages document to your Google Drive so that you can open it in Google Docs you will need to convert your pages into either a Word document or a PDF so in pages letamp;#39;s say this is our syllabus if I donamp;#39;t want my students to edit this document in the Google classroom I would actually want to save this as a PDF and to do that I go to file and export as PDF make sure PDF is selected here click Next I want it to save to my desktop and I click export it is now saved on my desktop as a PDF my students will not be able to edit this when I add it to my Google classroom however if I do have a document I want my students to edit in Google Docs I actually need to convert this to a word document so you go to file export to word Google Docs cannot open pages but it can open words and convert them to Google Docs so you make sure this is selected click Next thereamp;#39;s the name of it and you click export people tell you that itamp;#39;s creating the word file and
