Usually, footnotes appear at the bottom of the page, while endnotes come at the end of the document or section.
Click the disclosure arrow next to Border, then click the pop-up menu and choose a type of border (line or picture frame). To change the transparency, drag the Opacity slider. To lock the border so it doesnt get moved accidentally, click the Arrange tab at the top of the sidebar, then click Lock.
On iPad, tap the document name or tap the More button depending on what you see in the toolbar. Tap Document Options, then tap Document Setup. Turn on Headers or Footers. To delete a header or footer, turn off Headers or Footers.
Use footnotes and endnotes in Pages on iPad Tap where you want to insert the symbol for a footnote. Tap. in the shortcut bar above the keyboard, then tap Footnote. The symbol is inserted in the text, and the insertion point moves to the footnote text field at the bottom of the page. Enter the footnote text.
You can use numbers or other symbols, such as asterisks (*) or daggers (), to indicate notes. Tap any note in your document. Blue boxes appear around all the notes in the document. Tap. , then tap Footnotes at the top of the controls. Tap Format, then tap a symbol. The symbols are changed throughout the document.
Add a citation Open your EndNote library. Open the document you want to add a citation to in Pages. Select the text you want to cite, then choose the Insert menu button. In the EndNote Citation search window, search for the Author, Title or Year of the work you want to cite.
Insert footnotes and endnotes Click or tap within your document content where you want to reference a footnote or endnote. On the References tab, select Insert Footnote or Insert Endnote. Note the newly created footnote, at the bottom of the current page or endnote, at the end of the document.
To do, click on Edit menu EndNote Citations and select the style from the list. 4. Now place the cursor next to the text you want to cite, then choose the Insert menu button EndNote Citation.
