Page Size: Usually 6-by-9 inches or 7-by-10 inches (but there is no fixed size. You can even use A4 or smaller; Ebooks larger than A4 would be a rarity, I believe). Top and Bottom Margin: Usually 1 inch (the idea is to keep both of them equal. You can tweak around with the size depending on your paper/page size)
Usually 1 or 1.15 is good enough; any more, and the lines will be difficult to read.
The short answer: small and uniform! Unlike with print books, where the margin is bigger on the left or right-hand side of the page depending on which is nearest the spine, eBook margins should be the same on both sides of every page. We generally recommend that you use . 5 all around.

An EPUB file is a group of files that conform to the OPS/OPF standards and are wrapped in a ZIP file. The OCF specifies how to organize these files in the ZIP, and defines two additional files that must be included. The mimetype file must be a text document in ASCII that contains the string application/epub+zip .
ePub Reader Setup - Margin. The default margin is Medium. If you are familiar with HTML and CSS, then you should know that any valid margin-left or margin-right value can be used here. Note: This setting is applied at the top level eBook element and acts as a default setting.
First, right-click on the epub file you want to split and select the EpubSplit icon on the toolbar. Second, highlight the sections you want to split and click New Book(make one new book containing the sections selected above). The new book has been created and default metadata filled in.
The ideal size of your eBook cover art is a height/width ratio of 1.6:1. This means that for every 1,000 pixels in width, the image should be 1,600 pixels in height. To ensure the best quality for your image, particularly on high definition devices, the height of the image should be at least 2,500 pixels.
