At any rate I headed over to Waveshare, the people who make a bunch of types of e-paper displays, and bought some and it was basically the very next day that they went and posted to their twitter about this seven color display, and it BLEW MY MIND, so I just immediately headed over to Waveshare and bought it. Inlay covers a range of techniques in sculpture and the decorative arts for inserting pieces of contrasting, often colored materials into depressions in a base object to form ornament or pictures that normally are flush with the matrix.
Stencilling is a method for replicating designs by applying ink or paint over cut-out holes in cardboard or metal onto the surface. Stencil printing shares similarities with screen printing, as both techniques involve selectively displaying a design while using a different material to block out unwanted areas.
There are many types of printmaking practiced all over the world. Four types of printmaking include relief printing, intaglio, planography, and screen printing.
Screenprinting is a process where ink is forced through a mesh screen onto a surface. Making certain areas of the screen impervious to printing ink creates a stencil, which blocks the printing ink from passing through the screen. The ink that passes through forms the printed image.
Screen printing (also known as silkscreen printing) is a unique medium because the print isnt made directly from the surface of a block or plate; instead, images are printed through a screen mesh using stenciling techniques.
Screenprinting. Screen printing uses a stencil method to create images. First the artist must build a screen by tightly stretching and attaching a finely woven fabric, usually a monofilament polyester, to a sturdy wood or metal frame.
