now the last rule rule for this is a very interesting rule Iamp;#39;ll directly give you the rule suppose we have a to the power log B to the base C please read it very carefully the power itself is a law right in this what we can do is we can interchange this a and this B without affecting the position of C look at the position of a is the base of the power here B is the number in the log and C is the base of log C cannot be changed this n be willing to change it become B to the power log a to the base C these two are equal this is the last right so if there is a question which says 7 to the power log of 6 - 5 to the base 49 and the questions has simplified what you can do is you can interchange the 7 and 625 so it will become 6 - 5 to the power log of 7 to the base 49 make sure that the position of 49 is not touched is not changed at all is not affected at all now this becomes 6 - 5 and here this is 7 raised to 1 and this is 7 is to 2 so I can write it as 7 a log of 7 to the base 7

A Splunk index is a repository for Splunk data. Data that has not been previously added to Splunk is referred to as raw data. When the data is added to Splunk, it indexes the data (uses the data to update its indexes), creating event data. Individual units of this data are called events.
Imagine indices like physical boxes. Graylog will open a box (an index) and will put its messages in it (the logs you send). When the quota you have defined is exceeded, the box is stored on a shelf and a new box is opened, for the next messages.
Indices is the pleural of index. These laws of indices give the rules for dividing and multiplying numbers written in index form. Log is used as a short form of logarithm, and is another name for index. All logs must be in the same base in applying the rules and solving for values.
An index is a list of all the names, subjects and ideas in a piece of written work, designed to help readers quickly find where they are discussed in the text. Usually found at the end of the text, an index doesnt just list the content (thats what a table of contents is for), it analyses it.
Log indexing is a way to sort logs so that users can access them. It is a method of log management, where logs are arranged as keys based on some attributes. Overall, indexing engines are able to provide faster access to query logs. Although log indexing may use chronological order, there are many other options.
An index is an ordered list of headings that points to relevant information in materials that are organized in a different order. Generally, whenever an index exists, that index is necessary for being able to find a record within a record series.
