all right I love the way these golden screws look for inlays and so what I do is I just measure each one of them with either a measuring thing or you can put a string in the middle and however you want to measure that you want to make the center this way and then the center this way then I just get one of these sharp owls you can use a nail anything you want just put an indentation where you want them to be right and then what I do is I get the right appropriate size drill and I just drill down about the thickness of the screw right start off small just go just about this thick right and then what I do is I countersink with the appropriate size bit thatamp;#39;s gonna match the head of the screw and then what I like to do is I just hit it with a black sharpie just make it a black hole and then I do not use my drill bit for this guy actually you can screw these guys in with the hand screwdriver that way I can get the the depth to be exact right height so that when youamp;#39;re playin

Also called block markers, this refers to fret markers inlaid into a guitars or basss fingerboard that are rectangular block shaped instead of the more common circular dot markers. The difference between the two types is cosmetic only, and does not affect the instruments tone or playability.
Step 1: The first step is to measure the inlay and carefully map out where it will be on the fretboard. Step 2: Following that, you can lightly glue the inlay down on the fingerboard within your measured lines. Step 3: From there, take a sharp razor and score/cut around the outside of the inlay.
Inlay is usually between 1 and 2 mm thick, including clay plastic or wood for blocks, going too deep with inlay can weaken segments of the FB in some cases.
One of the coolest and easiest mods to do on your guitar is replace the inlays. Most people may shudder to think about drilling out the existing inlays of the neck, but with some instruction and a bit of patience, this article can help you learn one way of doing it yourself.
YES! Absolutely, it affects the tone.
The dot inlays are fret markers to help you know where on the fretboard your hand is. Usually there is one each in the third, fifth and seventh frets, with two in the 12th.
Inlay on guitars or similar fretted instruments are decorative materials set into the wooden surface of the instrument using standard inlay techniques.
