what even is the difference between JPEG PNG and svgs jpegs are perfect for real photos since they can compress really well to a small file size but might lose a bit of quality if you need transparency for a photo then use PNG other than jpegs pngs retain the quality though which can result in a little bit larger file size and lastly if you are not dealing with photos but with shapes then use svgs because those donamp;#39;t work with pixels but rather with vectors to display the shapes therefore they are tiny in file size and you can scale them as much as you want without losing any quity quality like these tips then follow for more

JPEG as a format does not support layers. PSD does, in addition to also storing the composite version of the image, which allows other apps do preview PSD successfully. A JPEG file is, by definition, a flat, 8-bit image file - no layers, less colours than youre used to.
To add or remove layers from an image, youll need image editing software like docHub Photoshop or GIMP. To add a layer, create a new one and place your content on it. To remove a layer, select it and delete it. Layers allow you to manipulate elements independently, making complex edits and adjustments easier.
A JPEG file is a sequence of Type-Length-Value chunks called segments: \; marker:c; length(value+2):u2; value;length*c; the type is defined by a marker: 2 bytes, FF then a non-zero byte (*). the length is a big endian on 2 bytes, and covers the size itself.
Some image file formats such as TIFF, PSD and PDF, support layers. Some file formats do not. Only file formats that support layers are really useful for serious image editing and for archiving working files, known as master files.
