4. Insert the Cover Image into the Header of your Google Doc In Google Docs, on your top toolbar, select: Insert - Headers and Footers - Header. Tick where it says different first page header/footer. Select Insert then Image and select your image.
Add images to a header or footer Go to Insert Header or Footer Blank (or a simple template). Double-click [Type here] in the header or footer area. Select Pictures or Online Pictures and then select your picture. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit.
Insert an image placeholder On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides. At the top, click View Theme builder. Click Insert Placeholder Image placeholder. Select a shape for your image placeholder.
This is because of the text wrapping settings on the image. Youll need to change the text wrapping setting if you want to move the image freely, or if you just want the text to wrap around the image in a more natural way.
Quick tl;dr instructions Select your Pointee (the bit of area you want to point to), click Insert Bookmark. Select Pointer (text that will hyperlink to it), click Insert Link and expand the Bookmarks section, to select your bookmark. Done! Google Docs will automatically add headings to an outline, but you can also add them manually. Open a document in the Google Docs app. Tap Edit . Select the text you want to make a heading. Tap Format . Tap TEXT. Style. Tap a heading style. Tap Done. . The heading will be added to the outline.
Add a full-bleed header image In your Google Doc use the Insert menu then Header (or double-click the top of the page to add a header); Use the Insert menu then Image and add the image you want (resize and crop as necessary);
In your document, with your mouse select the text to which you want to apply the style. For a main heading, click Heading 1. For a subheading click Heading 2, and so on. You do not need to apply a style to text that is not a heading (i.e. a paragraph).
