for my moms birthday i thought itd be a good idea to make a picture print for her and since her twin sisters birthday just so happens to fall on the same day i thought id make her one as well i really wanted to use purple heart for the picture frame and then do an ash inlay around the edges to hold it all together luckily the purple heart didnt have any warping so i just used my planer to skip plane the top and make it nice and smooth on both the top and bottom surfaces [Music] then i could take the purple heart over to my table saw to rip it down to size i did this first with the overall piece and then i ripped the second piece down so that theyre the same size as one another [Music] now i can rough cut all the purple heart pieces to size and im doing this a little bit long so that i can trim off the excess when i start doing the miter cuts [Music] the next step is to create a channel on the back side of the picture frame to accept the picture the backer and any plastic you ha
