Expert-Verified Answer Page headers and footers are not the same as report headers and footers. Reports do not have a special report header or report footer area. A report footer consists of report items that are placed at the bottom of the report body. They appear only once as the last content in the report.
The footer section often contains instructions for calculating and printing subtotals or other summary information at the designated break. The special functions used to calculate this information are called set functions or aggregates, which you specify in print statements.
You can use report footers to remind viewers that the contents of the report are for internal use only. Typically, you populate report footers using data fields such as: Constants. Alpha variables.
You should always include a useful and informative footer at the bottom of your reports. Include: Date and Time Printed and User who printed it - see warning below (e.g. Printed by SSW\DaveSmith on 3/1/2024 3:16:30 PM) Execution Time (e.g. Execution time: 1 minute, 10 seconds)
