An exclamation point is used to express that a sentence should be read as though someone were crying out, yelling, shouting, screaming, or making some type of loud remark. Lets take a look at a sentence: Thereamp;#39;s a roach in the bathroom. We notice that there is a period at the end of the sentence, so the sentence should be read in a rather causal voice. The ampersand character must be escaped. The greater than and less than characters do no have to be escaped but its good practice to do it. The double quotes in the data must be escaped. The double quotes do not need escaping as they are contained within a single quoted attribute.
