For the actual gluing, place a good drop of medium instant glue in the hole and put your inlay dot in place applying slight pressure. Be careful not to glue your fingers together, weve all been there, so keep some debonder within docHub. Once the glue is set, you can start or finish your radius.

A zero fret is a fret placed at the headstock end of the neck of a banjo, guitar, mandolin, or bass guitar. It serves one of the functions of a nut: holding the strings the correct distance above the other frets on the instruments fretboard.

Its not really something you can do yourself and its quite costly. Theyll most likely have to take the frets off to do the work and replacing them is costly as well. If its a cheap guitar, Id recommend not wasting your money on adding inlays. You should look into the stickers as posted above.

On guitars and basses, fret markers are usually found on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 15th, 17th, and 19th fret. Guitars and basses often have double dots on the 12th fret to indicate the octave, and 24-fret guitars may have double dots there at the highest fret to indicate two octaves.
The 7th fret being marked is because it indicates the fret that gives you a perfect 5th from the open string.
The 12th fret and 24th frets of a guitar are octaves of the open string youre playing on. For this reason, having two dots on these particular frets makes for an easy reference point. For example, the 12th fret on an E string is also E. After that, the cycle of notes repeats itself.
