ive had this brass uh its brass tubing sitting around for a while and its the perfect size for my fatter plastic dot stock and i couldnt help but think [Music] ive got some aluminum too which i had planned on doing for my kiddos guitar and that looks freaking awesome i dont know if the brass will be bright enough if i put black in the middle but im gonna have to try that okay so um the aluminum is pretty easy to work with this this a little different story um i actually have a tiny little pipe cutter which works out really well for the aluminum the only thing is to bridge the gap so that it stays uh you know straight in there i have to cut a piece a little bigger than i want to but not the end of the world and it files down real quick and easy so whatever however that brass different story the hardware on this guitar is going to be chrome so uh the aluminum would work well uh but the finish of the maple top im expecting to be kind of brownish have you know a certain amount of

If you want to remove inlays, heat them with a soldering iron until the glue melts, then they should pop out. Youre almost guaranteed to damage the inlays, but the board will remain intact. Obviously, only do this if you can route for and the new inlays, then re-radius your fingerboard.
Removing fretlook inlay stickers is just as easy as attaching them. So that you can remove the removable stickers without leaving any residue, we recommend that you loosen the strings on your guitar for removal or remove them if they are ready for a change anyway.

Its not really something you can do yourself and its quite costly. Theyll most likely have to take the frets off to do the work and replacing them is costly as well. If its a cheap guitar, Id recommend not wasting your money on adding inlays. You should look into the stickers as posted above.
