hi everyone today we are going to show you how to sort by date in Excel so letamp;#39;s start it so on my spreadsheets you can see some booking data so you can see booking date for example you wanted to sort the booking data in the form of earliest booking and the latest booking so for that you just need to select the column of date so letamp;#39;s select the column C and go to home and check or verify if the date type is date or not so generally the date tip will be set to General by default by Excel so we need to make sure that we have the proper data type which is State now that we have the proper data type select the entire column and go to the data option and here select the sort option add in the sort option select the expand selection click on sort and hear sort by booking date and oldest to newest thatamp;#39;s what we wanted the oldest booking just click on OK that should be done now that is how you sort on Excel
