The DATEDIF function is mainly used to calculate days, months, or years between two dates. Now we are going to use this table to show you the usage of this function. Follow these few steps. Select the cell range filled with date information for format changes. Right-click the cell range choose Format Cells from the pop-up menu. Get into the Date tab choose a date format in the category of Type. Click OK to complete the settings.
Ctrl + ; shortcut inserts the today date in a cell. Ctrl + Shift + ; shortcut inserts the current time. To enter the current date and time, press Ctrl + ; then press the Space key, and then Ctrl + Shift + ;.
Select the cell that contains the first date. Drag the fill handle across the adjacent cells that you want to fill with sequential dates. Select the fill handle at the lower-right corner of the cell, hold down, and drag to fill the rest of the series.
Do one of the following: To insert the current date, press Ctrl+; (semi-colon). To insert the current time, press. + ; (semi-colon). To insert the current date and time, press Ctrl+; (semi-colon), then press Space, and then press. + ; (semi-colon).
Step 1: Open the WPS Excel program and open a new or existing spreadsheet where you want to use the date function. Step 2: Click on the cell where you want to display the date. Step 3: In the selected cell, type =DATE( to start your function. Step 4: After the parenthesis, you input three numbers separated by commas.
Step 1 Select the cell where you want the result. Step 2 In the formula bar, type =A2+B2 and press Enter. Step 3 The result cell will display the new date (2023-08-06), assuming B2 holds the value 5. By mastering these basic arithmetic methods, you can swiftly add days into your Excel dates using WPS Office.
Type =DATE() into a cell and press Enter to display the current date. Similarly, to display the current time, use the NOW function by typing =NOW() to display the current date and time in a cell. With either of these functions, whenever the sheet is recalculated, the date or time is recalculated as well.
