[Applause] [Applause] at the german weather service dwd we have two different focus systems there is one focus system for long forecast ranges up to two weeks and there is another focus system for rather small focus ranges up to several hours in the symphony project we combine both of these forecast systems to improve each one and to generate a superior combined forecast since both forecast systems run onto different id infrastructure levels we use docker containers to port them on a single ig infrastructure level this reduces the complexity of the symphony system and it improves the reliability of the whole symphony system to keep containers up to date we introduce new container elements to the presence the icd infrastructure with this step we automatically generate new container images which accelerates further progress in research
