this is one of the rarest guitars in the world after over 10 years of searching I purchased it from a family friend of the original owner who had had this guitar in storage for nearly 5 years now in spite of being held in storage this guitar still features a ton of authentic playwear with weather checking throughout on both the body and neck check out the amazing transparent gold burst finish and the incredible inlay work here designed by none other than John Dyer basley and thatamp;#39;s because this guitar is a firsta custom shop dc6 built for Pete Adams during his time in baroness now the inlay work here is very reminiscent of the baroness blue record and I know Pete is an avid fly fisherman I wonder if thereamp;#39;s anything else to the story

Inlays or Onlays are indirect fillings made of porcelain that fit into or onto a tooth. Its purpose is to make the tooth stronger by reinforcing it, together while retaining a natural, aesthetically pleasing colour.
Inlays are used to fill, cover and patch larger portions of a cavity, hole or gap on the biting surface of a tooth than could be sealed with a filling, and where that cavity, hole or gap is contained within the cusp of your tooth (inside the perimeter as opposed to over the shoulders or cusps of the tooth.
inlay, in the visual arts, any decorative technique used to create an ornamental design, pattern, or scene by inserting or setting into a shallow or depressed ground or surface a material of a different colour or type. Inlay techniques are used in enamelwork, furniture decoration, lacquerwork, and metalwork.
During this process, the dentist removes the portion of the tooth that is decayed and puts resin on the tooth. The dentist will then take the inlay or onlay and cement it into the tooth, followed by a polishing of the inlay or onlay. The inlay or onlay can also be made of ceramic, and the same procedure is followed.
On guitars, there are two popular fretboard inlay schemes: A common position marker inlay scheme (1) involves single inlays on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, double inlays on the 12th, single inlays on the 15th, 17th, 19th, and 21st, and if present, double inlays on the 24th.
Step 1: The first step is to measure the inlay and carefully map out where it will be on the fretboard. Step 2: Following that, you can lightly glue the inlay down on the fingerboard within your measured lines. Step 3: From there, take a sharp razor and score/cut around the outside of the inlay.
Usually, inlays and onlays are used to restore the back teeth as these are the teeth that do the most work, are the hardest to clean and often suffer the most from decay. Sometimes, they are also used to replace older amalgam fillings.
Similar to a dental filling, an inlay restores lost tooth structure within the cusp of a tooth. However, an inlay is handmade by a ceramist in a lab and is stronger and is color stable, which means your inlay will not change color over time.
