In the Document sidebar, click the Document tab at the top. Select a page orientation (portrait or landscape). You can use only one page orientation for your document. Pages doesnt support a mix of pages in portrait and landscape within the same document.
Click the disclosure arrow next to Border, then click the pop-up menu and choose a type of border (line or picture frame). To change the transparency, drag the Opacity slider. To lock the border so it doesnt get moved accidentally, click the Arrange tab at the top of the sidebar, then click Lock.
Add a border to a page Go to Design Page Borders. Make selections for how you want the border to look. To adjust the distance between the border and the edge of the page, select Options. Make your changes and select OK. Select OK.
Add headers and footers in a word processing document Click in a page where you want to add headers and footers. Move the pointer over the top or bottom of the page until you see the three header or footer fields, then click one (you can use any combination of fields to complete your header or footer).
In a text box or shape: Click the object. If the object already contains text, click once to select the object, then click again in the text where you want to place the insertion point. In a table cell: Click the cell to select it, then click again where you want to start typing.
