To create or update a highlight, bring up a context menu at a specific location in an eBook (for updates, the location will be marked as a highlight already) and select the Highlight option. This launches the Highlight dialog, consisting of a toolbar and selection handles.
Well, there is no standard for annotating ePUBs. So every reader does what its developers deemed nice or feasible or useful or whatever. valente: (Often I prefer to convert epub to pdf and then annotate)
Hold the left mouse button and hover over the desired text. When the cursor is released, the text context menu will show up. Click the Add note option from the menu or press Ctrl + N on your keyboard to write a note for the selected text. A new field to which you can enter the body of the text will appear.
Save your new chapter as an HTML file. Edit book in Calibre. File Import file into book. Drag/drop new file into desired order location. Update TOC. Save.
Once you have downloaded and saved a PDF version of the e-book, you can use docHub Reader to annotate and highlight text. These tools are also called markup which are part of the comment and review features. A basic overview of these features is presented on the docHub Reader Help site page, Share, comment, and review.
Editing an EPUB. An EPUB is essentially a ZIP file containing nested folders with XHTML text, images, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), embedded fonts, and metadata files. Almost anyone can edit EPUB files with the help of an eBook editing tool, although some familiarity with hypertext markup language (HTML) is helpful.
For chapter mark select pagebreak in the drop-down box. Then on the EPUB output page, be sure Do not split on page breaks is NOT checked. That should cause calibre to break up the book by chapter, when you perform the conversion.
