hi everyone kamodi here back with another video in this video i want to show you how you can add tone into sounds that donamp;#39;t have tone or have very little tone where you want to get more tone out of it some examples of situations you might want to do something like that could be a snare or a clap that just isnamp;#39;t tonal enough or it could be something totally different where youamp;#39;re trying to make like a pad or a lead out of a completely unrelated sample and you need to put some tone into it this is gonna be a very quick and simple video but letamp;#39;s check it out i have this nice noisy clap sample itamp;#39;s pretty noisy i wouldnamp;#39;t say itamp;#39;s got much obvious tone but what we can do to add tone into this is simply add a really high tight resonant eq notice how if we go high enough we can actually pretty much create tone out of any part of the sound and youamp;#39;ve probably done this before yourself just moving a resonant eq through a sound n

S-Log captures far more information than standard REC. 709 footage can record, giving you more control over the finished image in post-production. Instead of exposing for highlights or shadows when shooting, you can capture all of this information and choose how you want to display it later.
For light skin tones, the waveform should be around 70 IRE. This is a standard, but not something you have to follow all the time. Night scenes or creative work can and should deviate from it. Dark skin tones usually lay between 40 and 60 IRE.
The many advantages of shooting in S-Log Shoot with a combination of S-Log and S-Gamut, and your material can retain a wider color gamut, dynamic range, and tonal range than with traditional techniques. This image information provides exceptional flexibility in color grading, as you give scenes the look you envisioned.
Log can be a helpful tool if the setting and demands are right. It can improve your dynamic range and give you more usable footage at the end of any shooting day. But remember, build your confidence before using it on any important shoots.
Choose log for balance between control effort, raw for pushing creative boundaries with expert knowledge. Log: More data than regular video, easier to manage, good for most creative projects. Raw: Ultimate data access, complex demanding, best for professionals with top-tier hardware skills.
Log can be a great tool if you know you will have time to edit your footage in post-production. It will help you get more detail in poor or uneven lighting.
So how do we expose LOG correctly? Expose to the right (meaning to the right of the histogram i.e slight over exposure). Use an 18 percent grey card. Send a normal REC 709 curve to the monitor/eye peice and expose that as you normally would.
You may not need this in every filmmaking situation, of course, but if youre working in scenarios where contrast is high, such as on a bright day or in an interior lit with spotlights, it could be a way to avoid blown-out highlights and featureless shadows.
