hey guys welcome back to another tech Guru video today I have a video that is requested by a bunch of different people over the past few months um how do you add or remove headers and Footers within Appleamp;#39;s Pages if you donamp;#39;t know what Appleamp;#39;s pages is is just like Microsoft Word but for Apple uh so you can export to Microsoft Word files but anyways Iamp;#39;m not going to get into that Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to add uh or remove header or footer so the first thing you need to do is once you open up Pages youamp;#39;re going to see this little gear icon in the upper right hand corner if you click on that you will see something here that shows the document settings with the margins and then youamp;#39;ll see something that says section and this is going to be where your header and footer stuff is uh going to be uh so thatamp;#39;s thatamp;#39;s going to be where all of that is there now this is the new version of pages yours may look differ

Add a title Select the object you want to add a title to. Tap. To change the location of the title, choose On Top or On Bottom. Double-tap the placeholder title, then type your title. To change the font, size, style, or other formatting, tap the title (or tap the object, then tap the title), tap.

Select the object you want to add a title to. In the Format sidebar, do one of the following: For shapes, images, movies, 3D objects, text boxes, and equations: Click the Style tab, then select the checkbox next to Title. For drawings: Click the Drawing tab, then select the checkbox next to Title.
Use the Post Title block to display the title of a post or page. This block is primarily nested inside a query loop block and helps to customize the appearance of the query loop. To add a Post Title block, click the Block Inserter icon when editing the page template. Search for the Post Title block.
Open the title page by clicking on the Title Page icon in the Ribbon (Windows) or the Toolbar (Mac) or choosing Document Title Page; Type your information in over the existing sample text; Go to File Close.
Choose Pages Settings (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen). Click General at the top of the settings window. Enter a name in the Author field, then close the settings window.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
