letamp;#39;s go over angle insertion for injections first up is intramuscular we want to go in that muscle and you want to go in at a 90 degree angle next is subcutaneous we want to go in that fatty tissue so you want to go in anywhere between a 90 to 45 degree angle it really depends on how much fat is under that skin on the patient then we have intravenous so weamp;#39;re targeting the vein and you want to go in anywhere between a 15 to 30 degree angle depending on how deep that vein is and then lastly we have intradermal and you want to go in anywhere between a 10 to 15 degree angle and with this weamp;#39;re targeting the dermis so just below the epidermis and how you know you got a really good intradermal injection is that youamp;#39;re going to see a wheel or a bleb on the skin which looks like a small bubble

During Your Exam You will receive an injection of a tracer dose of radioactive material near the tumor site, just below the skins surface. The level of radioactivity is extremely low and has no side effects.
Lymphoscintigraphy is a type of nuclear imaging test. That means your provider will use a very small amount of radioactive substance (radiotracer). When injected under the skin, radiotracers gather in tumors or other areas of concern. Radiotracers give off gamma rays that special cameras (gamma cameras) can detect.
Heres how to go about tinning your soldering iron the right way. Bring the soldering iron up to temperature. Melt solder onto the tip such that it covers the nickel-plated part, as shown in the image below. Wait a few seconds until the tip stops smoking.
Lymphoscintigraphy is a critical evaluation tool for patients with various malignancies, including breast cancer and melanoma. Identifying sentinel lymph nodes via lymphoscintigraphy facilitates treatment planning and helps patients avoid unnecessary invasive procedures such as lymphadenectomy.
The exam involves lying flat on an examination table while a scanner rotates around you and takes pictures of your lymph nodes. At the beginning of the exam, a nurse will insert an IV line into your arm. This delivers the radiotracer into your body which is what the camera picks up to create the images.
The camera detects and records the distribution of the radioactive tracer which was injected. Please note: Depending on your lymphatic flow, this procedure can take anywhere from 30 min to 2 1/2 hours.
Except for intravenous injections, it is usually painless. These tests use radioactive materials called radiopharmaceuticals or radiotracers to help diagnose and assess medical conditions. Radiotracers are molecules linked to, or labeled with, a small amount of radioactive material.
Breast lymphoscintigraphy with 99mTc-sulfur colloid is frequently performed before breast-conserving surgery to delineate drainage to a sentinel node. Tracer injection for lymphoscintigraphy can be painful.
