Hello everybody! My name is SilentWisher and im here to teach you how to make a transparent texture with VTF Edit. In order for it to be used in your map. This tutorial does not include how to pack rat it into your map. First you start up the program. Then you go to file, import, and then the texture you want. Now this needs to be a .PNG if its going to be transparent. Im not going to get into to much detail but you know you set your maximum width and yada yada. Thats pretty much it. The rest you can play with if you know what your doing. Press ok, First your going to say wait, this is white. Why is that? Dont worry about that yet. Basically sense my texture is a white text its going to just show a white background. Which is fine. So go to Save As Then your going to want to navigate to your the game your compiling this in.
