Select Format Default formatting from the menu bar. Use the four arrow buttons in the Text Formatting toolbar (highlighted in Figure 112) to move the text to the appropriate position and give it the appropriate outline level.
Apply Styles in Fill Format Mode In the Menu, choose View ▸ Styles ( F11 ) to open the Styles window in the Sidebar. Place the cursor in the paragraph or word whose format you want to transfer. Click on the icon of the Style types to be applied. Click the Fill Format Mode icon.
Creating a new style from a selection: In the document, select the item to save as a style. In the Styles and Formatting window, click the New Style from Selection icon. In the Create Style dialog box, type a name for the new style. The list shows the names of existing custom styles of the selected type, if any.
To apply a paragraph, page, or frame style, hover the mouse over the paragraph, page, or frame and click. To apply a character style, hold down the mouse button while selecting the characters, Clicking on a word applies the character style for that word. Repeat this step until you made all the changes for that style.
To use styles, select the menu Format - Styles Formatting. A little window will appear with five icons near the top left. Starting from the left, they select the Paragraph, Character, Frame, Page, and List styles.
