Implementing dependency injection in ASP.NET Core Step 1: Create an ASP.NET Core web application. Step 2: Create a class containing the service we want to use. Step 3: Use the ShortDate service in the IndexModel class. Step 1: Introduce constructor injection. Step 2: Create an abstraction of the service.
We can inject the service dependency into the view using the @inject directive. The syntax is as follows to use this directive. Here we need to pass the service type that needs to be injected and the service instance name that is used to access the service method.
After services are added to the service collection, inject one or more services into components with the @inject Razor directive, which has two parameters: Type: The type of the service to inject. Property: The name of the property receiving the injected app service. The property doesnt require manual creation.
You do not have to declare a session variable or explicitly add it to the collection. The following example shows how to create session variables in an ASP.NET page for the first and last name of a user, and set them to values retrieved from TextBox controls. Session[FirstName] = FirstNameTextBox.
A service can be injected into a view using the @inject directive. You can think of @inject as adding a property to the view, and populating the property using DI. The sample repository uses an in-memory collection.
View state can only be visible from a single page and not multiple pages. Session state value availability is across all pages available in a user session. It will retain values in the event of a postback operation occurring. In session state, user data remains in the server.
Since the singleton service does not have a request scope, you need to create a scope using the IServiceScopeFactory and dispose it when you are done with the scoped service. You also need to resolve the scoped service from the scopes service provider, using methods such as GetRequiredService or GetService .
The view state is a key element of an ASP.NET page because it is the primary means to persist the state of the Web server controls. Whenever the page posts back, the state is restored, updated using the current form parameters, then used to run the postback event handler.
