hello ladies and gents mr. Westfall here and today Iamp;#39;m going to show you guys how not only to add binary numbers together but also Iamp;#39;m going to explain how the ALU does this using a series of logic gate circuits please make sure you know how to convert from base 10 or decimal to base to binary and vice versa before watching this video to add in binary we just need to remember a few rules 0 plus 0 equals 0 0 plus 1 equals 1 likewise 1 plus 0 equals 1 1 plus 1 equals 10 wait but the reason for this is because 1 plus 1 is the decimal equivalent of 2 and we show 2 in binary using 1 in a 0 so there is a 0 in the ones place and the 1 gets carried over into the twos place before I show you how to add numbers in binary Iamp;#39;m going to explain how the ALU does it using a series of logic gate circuits the ALU uses a half adder logic gate circuit to add just two single digit binary numbers together it is performed using these or and the and gates note that there are two input

Binary addition is much like your normal everyday addition (decimal addition), except that it carries on a value of 2 instead of a value of 10. For example: in decimal addition, if you add 8 + 2 you get ten, which you write as 10; in the sum this gives a digit 0 and a carry of 1.
BCD Addition of Given Decimal Number Step 1: Convert the decimal number into BCD representation: Step 2: Align the BCD numbers for addition: Step 3: Perform binary addition on the BCD digits: Step 4: Handle carry-out and correction: Step 5: Obtain the final BCD result:
The sum is (10010)base 2. Therefore, (1101)base 2 + (10101)base 2 = (10010)base 2.
The letter a is 01100001. From there, count the number of the letter and write that number in binary.
Converting a decimal number to binary is popularly done by dividing the digit by 2 and writing out the remainder aside. By repeatedly dividing a number by two and recording the result, decimal values can be transformed into binary. Divide the number by 2. Get the integer quotient for the next iteration.
To convert decimal numbers to binary, we divide the given decimal number repeatedly by 2 and the remainder are noted down till we get 0 as the final quotient.
The numbers from 0 to 10 are thus in binary 0, 1, 10, 11, 100, 101, 110, 111, 1000, 1001, and 1010.
In binary, you dont place a space in the same way you do in text. However, you can represent a space character in ASCII encoding with the binary value 00100000.
