To change a LaTeX page-style parameter, you use the \setlength command in the preamble of your LaTeX source file. For example, if you want the body of the text to be 14 centimeters wide, you type \setlength{\textwidth}{14cm} in the preamble of your LaTeX source file.
Changing font size in LaTeX If the accommodation specifies a font larger than 12pt, use the standard type size commands to increase the size of the font. These commands are case sensitive, so \large, \Large, and \LARGE all result in different font sizes.
Latex Fonts: The point size can be described in the way [10pt]. The other font sizes are 8pt, 9pt, 10pt, 11pt, 12pt, 14pt, 17pt, 20pt. The default font size for Latex is 10pt.
The paper size can be set to any size you need by means of the command papersize={⟨width⟩,⟨height⟩} . Here the text area, the left margin and the top margin are set. The right and bottom margins are automatically computed to fit the page.
\pdfpagewidth and \pdfpageheight \pdfpagewidth[=] dimension. This command sets the page width of the PDF output document. \pdfpageheight[=] dimension. This command sets the page height of the PDF output document.
The default for \normalsize is 10-point, but it may differ for some Document Styles or their options. The actual size produced by these commands also depends on the Document Style and, in some styles, more than one of these size commands may produce the same actual size.
Your document should be saved with a page size of 8.5 x 11 (Letter Size), and not 8.27 x 11.69 (A4 Size). Following are the instructions to correct the page size for LaTeX, MS Word 2016. If your paper is not printing on Letter size paper (8.5 x 11), check your /documentclass command in your main . tex file.
