You can shrink or enlarge a worksheet for a better fit on printed pages. To do that, in Page Setup, click the window launcher button. Then, click Scaling Adjust to, and then enter the percentage of the normal size that you want to use.
On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Select a row or column to resize. To highlight multiple rows or columns: Mac: ⌘ + click the rows or columns. Right-click the row number or column letter. Click Resize row or Resize column. Then, choose an option: Enter a custom height or width. Click OK.
Hover your mouses cursor over the same line between columns C and D until it shows a double arrow. Now double-click your mouse, and Google Sheets will automatically adjust the cells width to fit the data.
We can apply a consistent size to all cells in a sheet by performing the following steps: Select all Columns. Right click and select Resize Columns A-Z. Set the Column Width. Select all Rows. Right click and select Resize Rows 1-1000. Enter your Row Height. Select OK to set Row Height and See Results.
Right-click the row number or column letter. Click Resize row or Resize column. Then, choose an option: Enter a custom height or width.
Select the column or columns that you want to change. Go to Home Cells Format. Under Cell Size, select AutoFit Column Width. Note: To quickly autofit all columns on the worksheet, select Select All, and then double-click any boundary between two column headings.

Column widths are measured in pixels only. Just remember that 96 pixels = 1 inch. So the default column width of 120 pixels is actually 1.25 inches.
