in this video we will learn how to create a figure with a title and an image in data we will be starting in oxygen XML editor version 17 on a PC and author view with full tags displayed inside the con body element weamp;#39;re going to add our fig element which is a figure and inside of the fig element you are allowed to have a title element which will populate with the text ducklings walking and then after the title element youamp;#39;re allowed to have one or more image elements so weamp;#39;re going to use oxygens image wizard to add our image in data images are added by reference so they can either be a local file on your machine or reference to an image on the web and in this case weamp;#39;re going to be creating a reference to this image on our machine so oxygen inserts and displays that image automatically in author view so now weamp;#39;re going to switch over to text view and look at the code behind this so we have our figure element and then inside that we have our titl

Open the template descriptor file associated with your publishing template and add the element in the section and set the @file attribute value to the path of your logo. If you also want to add a link to your website when you click the logo image, set its URL in the @target-url attribute.
To insert an image, use the image tag and specify the placement attribute to set line wrapping. You can also choose placement=inline if youre inserting an image in the line of your sentence (such as a button image) or if you want text to flow around your image.
Inserting Images Click the Insert Image action from the toolbar. Drag an image from other application and drop it in the Author editing mode. Copy an image file from another document or another application (such as a system file browser or web browser) and paste it into your document.
Inserting an image To insert an image, use the image tag and specify the placement attribute to set line wrapping. You can also choose placement=inline if youre inserting an image in the line of your sentence (such as a button image) or if you want text to flow around your image.
Embed Images in XML or JSON First, click the Insert / Encoded External File command, which is is available in Text View and Grid View for XML documents, and Text View for JSON files. Browse to select the file to embed, and then choose either Base 16 or Base 64 encoding.
Select an image (or part of an image) from another application (such as an image editor), copy it, and paste it into your document. Oxygen XML Editor will prompt you to save it. After saving the image, a reference to that file path is inserted at the paste position.
