In the Shortcuts app, click + to create a new shortcut. Double-click or drag the Text action from the Action Library panel to the editor. Enter your text phrase in the text field. Double-click or drag the Stop and Output action to the editor.
The insert key usually sits in a block of keys between the main keyboard and a numeric keypad near the page up and page down keys. Its usually labeled Insert or Ins. When pressed, the Insert key turns on overwrite mode.
Step 1: In System preferences Keyboard, go to the Text tab. Step 2: To edit a replacement, select it and enter the new shortcut or text you want to display. Then, press your Return key.
Control-H: Delete the character to the left of the insertion point. Or use Delete. Control-D: Delete the character to the right of the insertion point. Or use Fn-Delete. Fn-Delete: Forward delete on keyboards that dont have a Forward Delete key.
You can toggle between the modes by pressing Esc; alternatively, in command mode, typing a (append) or i (insert) will return you to insert mode.
