Onscreen Password Prompt Restart the computer and tap the F2 key during POST to enter the System Setup (BIOS). This should prompt for the Hard Drive or BIOS password.
Add the local account password Click the [Start] icon on the middle of the taskbar①, and then select [Settings]②. Select [Accounts]③, and then select [Sign-in options]④. Select Password, and then click [Add]⑤. Enter the Password and Password hint you want⑥, and then select [Next]⑦.
In the System BIOS or System Setup screen, select System Security and press Enter. The System Security screen is displayed. In the System Security screen, verify that Password Status is Unlocked. Select System Password, update, or delete the existing system password, and press Enter or Tab.
Steps for Setting a System BIOS Password To enter the system setup, press F12 immediately after turning on or rebooting the computer. In the BIOS Setup screen, select Security and press Enter. Select System Password and create a password in the Enter the New Password field.
Using the Keyboard: Press Ctrl, Alt and Del at the same time. Then, select Lock this computer from the options that appear on the screen.
Method 2 To enter the system setup, press F12 immediately after a power-on or reboot. In the BIOS Setup screen, select Passwords and press Enter. In the Admin Password screen, create a password in the Enter the new password field and press Enter. Re-enter the new password and press Enter again to confirm.
Turn off the computer and disconnect the power cable from the computer. Locate the password reset jumper (PSWD) on the system board. Remove the jumper plug from the password jumper-pins. Power on without the jumper plug to clear the password.
Select Start Settings . Select Personalization Lock screen.
