hey let me show you real quick how to insert page numbers and also insert your heading your running head first thing you need to do double click up in the header and double click there Iamp;#39;m going to type in my header for this itamp;#39;s just going to be how to insert page numbers all right and then Iamp;#39;m pressing tab to get over to the right side of the page now go up to insert the insert tab at the very top of the screen go over to page number scroll down the current position and even though the number one is on the side of the screen in this example here itamp;#39;ll put it right where I want it to be which is on the right side of the page alright next before I do anything else we need to change the font so go back to home everything needs to be picked new romanamp;#39; there we go now it doesnamp;#39;t say running head here but thatamp;#39;s okay Iamp;#39;ll fix that in a minute alright so on page two scrolling down page two just highlight the header down there g

Within your Microsoft document, place your cursor or highlight the text where you wish to insert a numbered list. Under the [Home] tab in the Paragraph section, click the [Numbering] drop-down menu.
Select the table cells that you want to number. To number the beginning of each row, select only the first column in the table by clicking the columns top border. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Numbering.
Update a table of contents On the References tab, select. Update Table. Select one of the following: Update page numbers only This only updates the pages that the headings are on, and ignores any changes to the heading text. Select OK.
Multilevel Under Click level to modify, choose the level you would like to define. Under the Number style for this level drop-down menu, choose a new number style. To format the number style, click [Font]. To define additional levels, choose another level to modify. When finished, click [OK].

Add line numbers to a section or to multiple sections On the Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Line Numbers. Click Line Numbering Options, and then click the Layout tab. In the Apply to list, click Selected sections. Click Line Numbers.
Create the index Click where you want to add the index. Go to References Insert Index. In the Index dialog box, you can choose the format for text entries, page numbers, tabs, and leader characters. You can change the overall look of the index by choosing from the Formats dropdown menu.
