in this video weamp;#39;re going to talk about how to express negative numbers in binary using the sine magnitude method and the twoamp;#39;s complement method and later in this video weamp;#39;re going to talk about how to add and subtract binary numbers using the twoamp;#39;s complements so letamp;#39;s say if we want to write negative six as a number how would we do that so weamp;#39;re going to start with the sine magnitude method in order to express negative six first we need to find out what six is and weamp;#39;re going to use a four bit binary to do so so 2 to the n minus 1 thatamp;#39;s going to be 2 to the 4 minus 1 which is 2 to the 3 and thatamp;#39;s 8. so this is going to be 8 4 2 and 1. so first letamp;#39;s express six as a binary number six is four plus two so weamp;#39;re going to put a one in the column under four and two and weamp;#39;re gonna put a zero everywhere else so that would be positive six in sign magnitude the first three numbers corresponds t

To convert a decimal number to binary, you need to follow these steps: Divide the decimal number by 2 and write down the integer result (ignore the remainder). Repeat step 1 with the integer result until you get 0. Write down the remainders (in reverse order) of each division as 0 or 1 to get the binary equivalent.
The rule for changing the Gray code to binary is that first bit remains the same and the next bit is obtained by adding the first LSB of binary to the second LSB of Gray code and so on. So the answer to the question is 10111.
That is, if you mean that 1,000,000 is to be read as a binary number. To understand why you need to know base notation and the laws of indices. To start with, binary numbers are easiest written in hexadecimal form, where each hex digit replaces four bits, so 1,000,000 is better presented as: 01000000.
What are the rules to add two binary numbers? There are only four math facts or rule to follow when adding two binary numbers. They are 0 + 0 = 0, 0 + 1 = 1, 1 + 0 = 1, and 1 + 1 = 10.
So, the binary number 10110 is equivalent to: 1 x 16 + 0 x 8 + 1 x 4 + 1 x 2 + 0 x 1. (Or simply add the orange numbers together, where a 1 appears). 10110 as a decimal would therefore be 22.
28 in binary is 11100. Unlike the decimal number system where we use the digits 0 to 9 to represent a number, in a binary system, we use only 2 digits that are 0 and 1 (bits). We have used 5 bits to represent 28 in binary.
For example, the binary number 110 stands for 122+121+020=4+2+0=6 (written in decimal notation). And the binary number 10001 stands for 124+023+022+021+120=16+0+0+0+1=17 (written in decimal notation). You can convince yourself that a binary number only consists of the digits 0 or 1.
