The Slide Master is a part of the presentation template. It controls the overall formatting and object placement for the presentation. Note Master, Handout Master and Title Master are responsible for the corresponding Note, Handout and Title templates.
Speaker notes help you remember what to say when you present. Print them, or use Presenter view to see your notes, while the audience sees only your slides. Add speaker notes. Slides work best when you dont cram too much information (especially too much text) onto them.

Open the Notes Master View In Notes Master view, you can choose the design and layout of the notes pageformat the background, modify fonts, and position headers and footers. You can also select page setup options. Click the View tab on the ribbon. Click the Notes Master button.
Select Record Audio. Type in a name for your audio file, select Record, and then speak. Important: Your device must have a microphone enabled in order to record audio. To review your recording, select Stop and then select Play.
To work on the slide master, click the VIEW tab, Slide Master. This opens SLIDE MASTER view, which contains the slide master and master layouts. The slide master is the larger thumbnail at the top in the thumbnail pane. The smaller thumbnails below it are all the layouts that go with the master.
To open the handout master, you click VIEW and Handout Master. On the HANDOUT MASTER tab, notice this group of options they represent all the header and footer placeholders, and you use them to show or hide the placeholders on the master.
The master view for notes can be opened with the command View | group Master | Notes master. An additional ribbon tab Notes master will then automatically appear on the far right. Here, you can specify the color scheme, background, and page formatting for notes pages (regardless of the slide design).
To add notes to your slides, do the following: On the View menu, click Normal. Select the thumbnail of the slide you want to add notes to. The notes pane will appear beneath your slide. Click where it says Click to add notes and type whatever notes youd like to add. To hide the notes pane, click the Notes button.
Youll see the following new features in the Record window: Teleprompter view shows your notes for the current slide above the slide preview. This allows you to read your notes while maintaining eye contact with your audience in the recorded video.
