The resolution in inkjet printers, measured in dots per inch (DPI), is pivotal for print quality. Higher DPI results in sharper and more detailed prints, making it essential for vibrant photos and crisp text.
Your ink cartridges may have dried out or the print heads may have become clogged with ink residue if they are older than a year. Although the print head can be cleaned, its probably advisable to replace the ink tanks for the best results.
Inkjet labels need time to dry so they wont smear.
PPM stands for Paper per minute which is used to measure the printing speed of both inkjet and laser printers. Most printers include a PPM rating for both black and color documents. These speed measurements are typically listed in the printers technical specifications.
The correct answer is Dot per inch. The output quality of a printer is measured by Dot per inch. DPI represents a number of ink dots the printer can place in an area of one square inch. It refers to the physical dot density of an image when it is reproduced as a real physical entity, for example, printed onto paper.
Solution(By Examveda Team) Another difference between inkjet and laser printers is that for inkjet printers you only need ink cartridges to print, while for laser printers, you need a toner cartridge and a drum unit. Laser printers always come with a drum unit that transfers the toner powder onto paper.
Print speed is measured in pages per minute (ppm). Each printer is rated for a specific ppm.
